The Art, Set Decoration and Props departments are all about the look of a film or TV show, and if you're creative then you might be considering starting out in one of them, but how do you decide which one is for you? There are significant differences to all of these departments and it is important to look at the skills needed for each when applying for your first jobs. 

Are you an active and practical person who likes to get out and about and see what challenges the working day throws at you? Or do you prefer a more methodical way of working, preferably at your own desk in a cosy room?! Or do you love searching through markets on crisp frosty mornings, sourcing that perfect antique item? Which ever you prefer, we'll help you work out which department is for you!

Helen Johnson from Talking Point will be joining us for this Filmbase Session and we'll be talking about the difference between the departments, what you might do in starter roles and how to work out which department is best for you!
