from The Film and TV Charity
Thursday 29th June
13:15 - 13:45 (BST) via Zoom
We've hit a quiet patch in Film and TV production. After a huge bounce back after Covid, when production spend in the UK reached £6.27 billion in 2022, it has come as a bit of a shock to many that production output has dropped this year, There are a few contributing factors, but the main reason is the writers' strike and concerns over director and actor strikes.
We'll be talking to Justine Walton from the Film and TV Charity to talk about the reasons behind this downturn and also to ask what crew can do in times like these to help both our financial and mental health. The Film and TV Charity has been around since 1924 and supports crew with everything from mental wellbeing, discrimination and harassment, to a whole host of practical tools and resources.
