Our next Filmbase Session is with Art Department Assistants Julia Collington and Bella Pritchard.
This session is for junior members who are interested in starting out in the Art Department and want to hear from people who are already working in a key 'entry-level' role. The session will also be useful for members who are interested in the Set Decoration as Julia started out in that department before moving to Art Department.
Both Julia and Bella are 'New to the Industry' members of Filmbase and have navigated the tricky early stages of their careers, making those first contacts and getting their first credits on IMDB.
Both of them are currently working as Art Dept Assistants on a Major Motion Picture based at Warner Bros' Leavesden Studios.
They'll be able to say what it's really like doing the junior roles on big and smaller productions, in Art and Set Dec. We'll ask them how they got their first jobs, what skills they needed, any challenges they've faced and what tips they have for others.
