A Discussion with ... Action prop Buyers

For our next Filmbase Session we will be talking to Daisy Popham and Mairi Claire Bowser who worked as Action Prop Buyer and Assistant Action Prop Buyer on Eternals and have worked in various buying roles before and since. 

We will be asking Daisy and Mairi Claire about how they got the roles, what their previous experience was and how Action Props can span across both the Props and the Set Dec department.

We’ll also be talking about job-share, since Mairi Claire and Daisy have just finished their second job sharing Production Buyer role together.

Daisy is also an experienced Set Decorator, having started out as an Art Department Trainee in 2010.

Mairi Claire started in Costume, before moving into Set Decoration. She was also the first Screen Sustainability Manager for Scotland and has done much other work to encourage sustainable practices in the UK industry. 

We’ll reserve some time at the end to talk about sustainability in film and TV.
