  For our next Filmbase Session, we will be talking to Supervising Art Director Shira Hockman.

  This session is for senior crew interested in the Supervisor role - Shira will talk about how she stepped up to Supervisor, what challenges she's faced and what the daily demands of the job are.

  It's also a great chance for junior crew to hear what makes an entry-level candidate stand out, from the perspective of a Supervisor.

  Shira started her career more than 20 years ago and has worked as Draughtsperson and Art Director on a range of productions. Among her recent roles, she has been Supervisor on Alien: Earth and upcoming Netflix horror 11817.

  We'll also ask Shira for her perspective on the industry in 2026.
